William A. Burgess, CCIM, SIOR has been active in the commercial real estate industry since 1983. He specializes in the office and investment areas, consulting and leasing, as well as seller / buyer representation. He has represented clients locally including Fluor Daniel, Rockwell International, BellSouth, Synnex Information Technologies, Inc., Ford Motor Credit and Gerber Children’s Wear.
Grayson Burgess - CCIM
A Greenville native, Grayson Burgess spent four years in active duty as United States Marine. After numerous deployments, Grayson was honorably discharged as a sergeant and began his professional career with Fluor Corporation as an overseas fuel logistics foreman.Upon returning home to Greenville, Grayson graduated Clemson University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management.
Daniel Casillas is proud to call Greenville, SC his hometown. While in college at Bob Jones University, he started Silver Crescent Landscaping, which installs and maintains landscapes for both residential and commercial clients. After graduating with a degree in Business Administration, Daniel sold his landscaping company and joined The Burgess Company as a broker handling commercial leasing and sales. Daniel is a member of the Realtors Land Institute and specializes in facilitating land transactions.
Avery joined The Burgess Company following a national and international track and field career. He graduated from Virginia Military Institute in 2016 with a degree in history. While at VMI, he won the Southern Conference 800-meter title and set the school record in the 1,000-meter run.
He gained a passion for sales while providing personalized solutions for customers’ footwear needs at Fleet Feet Greenville. Through individual appointments, he analyzed runners’ gait and foot structure to ensure the footwear they purchased kept them injury free.
Avery carried that attention to detail into the commercial real estate profession. He specializes in the sale and lease of industrial flex properties in the Upstate, and his mission is to provide resources and guidance throughout each step of the transaction process.
Bobby Miller - CCIM
After graduating from the University of South Carolina, where he played baseball for the Gamecocks and played on the 1985 World Series team, Bobby pursued a professional career on Wall Street. His ambitious career path eventually led him to real estate, and Bobby joins The Burgess Company after most recently spending seven years as VP of Land Division at KDS Properties. At the Burgess Company, Bobby uses his expertise to specialize in land development in the Upstate. A proud father of three children, Bobby resides in downtown Greenville and enjoys hiking, camping, jogging, and playing volleyball in his free time.
Daryl Longenecker graduated from University of South Carolina and continued his studies at the University of Paderborn in Germany. After living and working there for four years, Daryl moved to Sacramento, worked in education, and was involved in residential real estate.
He joins The Burgess Company after moving home to Greenville with his wife and two children to be close to family and friends. Daryl likes painting, making stuff, knowing how things work, and spending time with his family. Daryl is a South Carolina licensed real estate broker, fluent in German and specializing in industrial sales and leasing.
Client Services Manager
Kelly Summer is a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina. She began her career in commercial real estate after several years in the event planning and hospitality industry. She began as an executive assistant to Bill Burgess in 2007, and quickly earned the distinguished title of his “right-hand.” Since 2009, she’s served as the Client Services Manager for The Burgess Company, where she handles accounting, property management, and administrative brokerage duties, in addition to managing all the day-to-day office needs. Kelly is a South Carolina licensed Property Manager.
Whitney Nilsson graduated from The Academy of Arts University with a BA Degree in Graphic Design and Marketing. She joined The Burgess Company in 2021 with the mission of enhancing The Burgess Company’s overall branding and image. She is responsible for the company’s marketing, content creation, and communications strategies. She prepares annual marketing plans, schedules campaigns or events, and analyzes the market along with competitors.
Executive Administrative Assistant
Tara Baab has over 15 years of project management experience formerly in the Chemical Industry. In 2022, Tara brought her knowledge and skillset to The Burgess Company. Serving as Executive Administrative Assistant, Tara coordinates and oversees all aspects of scheduling and prioritization of tasks. She ensures new opportunities smoothly flow through every facet from setup to completion.
